Hose margin slipping

See when an assembly quote and the last buy of that hose and those ends stop lining up.

Sound familiar?

  • An assembly is quoted as if the hose and the JIC ends were still the last buy.

  • The cut length matches, and the fitting on the end does not.

  • The crimp and the extra end never make it onto the quote.

How I find it

  1. Sales history of the assemblies you quote, split by hose and by end style.

  2. Purchases of that hose and those ends, including the last buy.

  3. Your accounting system, where the assembly quote and the invoice can be looked at together.

What the system does

It watches hose and fitting sales and purchases 24/7 and pings you when the assembly quote and the last buy of those ends stop lining up. It never rewrites the quote. You decide.

SampleThe usual assembly is still quoted from the last JIC buy. The ORFS ends on the purchase after it do not match that quote.

You decide

You decide the quote. The system does not change what you charge.

Questions

Does it change my quotes?

No. It pings you. It never takes action on its own. You decide.

Why split the hose and the ends?

The hose size can match while JIC and ORFS do not. A quote that treats them as one number slips.

Where do I start?

A free leak audit. I look at the assemblies you quote often and what you last paid for those ends.
