Fastener margin slipping

See when a bolt kit’s quote and the last buy of that grade and finish stop lining up.

Sound familiar?

  • A grade 5 kit goes out on the old quote after the last buy of that finish moved.

  • Plain and zinc of the same diameter get quoted as if the buy were the same.

  • The washer add-on for the kit never makes it onto the quote.

How I find it

  1. Sales history of the kits you quote, by grade and finish.

  2. Purchases of that same grade and finish, including the last buy.

  3. Your accounting system, where the quote and the invoice can be looked at together.

What the system does

It watches fastener sales and purchases 24/7 and pings you when the quote and the last buy of that finish stop lining up. It never rewrites the quote. You decide.

SampleThe usual 1/2 inch grade 5 kit is still quoted from the last plain-finish buy. The zinc buy after it does not match that quote.

You decide

You decide the quote. The system does not change what you charge.

Questions

Does it change my quotes?

No. It pings you. It never takes action on its own. You decide.

Why grade and finish?

Plain and zinc of the same diameter are not the same buy. A quote that treats them as one number slips.

Where do I start?

A free leak audit. I look at the kits you quote often and what you last paid for that finish.
